THE CHALLENGE
Our client, a healthcare professional was, among others, targeted by criminal prosecution in relation to alleged systemic failures within a public medical institution in one of the most high profile cases of the year in Geneva.
OUR ROLE
We were retained to conduct defence and protect the client’s professional standing.
THE APPROACH
We pursued procedural challenges and escalated the matter to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court where we obtained the single most important decision which led to the dismissal of all charges against the suspected persons.
THE OUTCOME
The case was dismissed and significant broader reforms were implemented following the events of the case.
