We have advised and advise clients on all cases involving aspects of European law, particularly in the areas of tax, finance, competition, free movement, foodstuff and intellectual property.

In this context, we represent clients before national, European and international Courts in leading cases.

We have for instance successfully represented clients in high profile cases, such as the case of “Athinaiki Zythopoia” on distribution on dividends (C-294/99), the case of “BP Supergas” on VAT of petroleum products (C-62/93), the case of naming of feta cheese (C-317/95, C-289/96 and C-465/02), or the preliminary ruling regarding the establishment and free movement of auditors (C-255/01) and the case of the fishing company “Pigasos” on non-contractual liability of the Union (T-162/07, C-451P/09).

HOW WE CAN BE OF HELP

EU LAW CONFORMITY OF PUBLIC ACTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE OPPOSITION

We undertake pre-judicial action by filing Complaints before the European Commission, the European Ombudsman or other EU bodies.
We defend and represent our clients when unfavorably affected by actions of the European Commission or by procedures initiated by the European Anti Fraud Office (OLAF) and we intervene before the national authorities and represent them before any Court.
We also assist our clients in taking preventive action, particularly within the scope of competition law, so as to ensure conformity with EU law.

EUROPEAN LAW LITIGATION

We may represent clients in any EU related litigation or dispute involving EU law before domestic Courts and most importantly before the EU Court of Justice.
